Day-long courses are being offered on the 17th. The additional fee includes tuition, materials and lunch: 100 € for a one-day course and 175€ for a two-day course. Additional information on Day-Long Course can be found here.
Field Visits are being organized by a number of leading microfinance institutions around the world and we encourage you to take advantage of the very limited number of spaces available to visit one of these institutions. Please note that you are responsible for making arrangements directly with the institution you would like to visit including covering all additional costs. Registration fees for this conference are among the lowest in the field. If you would like to make an additional contribution to support this and future Summits, please indicate the amount when registering and it will be added to your total.
Bus transportation will be provided for delegates at no additional cost, from the Barajas Airport in Madrid to Valladolid during the afternoon and evening of November 12th and all day and evening of November 13th.
In addition, transportation will be available from Valladolid to Barajas Airport in Madrid – again at no additional cost – on the evening of November 17th, all day and evening of the 18th, and the morning of the 19th.

The 2011 Global Microcredit Summit is open to anyone interested in the field of microfinance: practitioners, government officials, and representatives from NGOs, corporations, foundations, and every other sector of society supporting microfinance.

Delegates must either represent an institution that has joined the appropriate Microcredit Summit Campaign Council and submitted a 2011 Institutional Action Plan (IAP) OR join the Microcredit Summit Council of Individual Supporters and have submitted a 2011 Council of Individual Supporters Action Plan.

Each delegate to the 2011 Global Microcredit Summit is responsible for his or her own transportation costs to and from the Madrid airport (and to and from Valladolid if you arrive or depart outside of the dates mentioned above), housing accommodations, incidentals, meals that are not included in the program and registration fees. Site visits and day-long courses are also available at an additional cost.
The working language of the meeting will be English with simultaneous interpretation of all plenary sessions and selected workshop sessions in Spanish and French.
If no IAP is submitted, attendees may participate at the conference as an “observer” rather than as a “delegate” and will be able to attend all Summit sessions.
