Online credit card payments are possible through VISA or MasterCard. We also can accept American Express but you will have to contact MCI directly to complete the payment by phone at +34 91 400 93 84. Please note that American Express charges an extra 5% fee per transaction which will be added to your transaction.

Wire Transfers
Wire transfers can also be accommodated in US$ (dollars) or Euros (€) only. To process the wire transfer, select wire transfer as your payment option when completing your registration form.

Payment by international check, money order, and travelers check must be from banks that have a U.S. affiliate. *Students can register for a student rate of 350 / 300€ but must provide proof of current enrollment from their educational institution by attaching it to their registration where indicated, or by presenting it upon checking in at the Summit.

Register 5-9 Delegates at once to receive a 10% discount on the rate in effect at the time you register, register 10 or more Delegates at once to receive a 20% discount on the rate in effect at the time you register.

NOTE: In order to receive the discounted rates for group registrations, registrants must: 1) have submitted an Institutional Action Plan; 2) provide all delegate names and contact information at the time of registration; and 3) submit payment for the ENTIRE group at the time of registration using only one form of payment for the entire amount. To receive instructions on how to register as a group, please write an email to mcsc2011@mci-group.com indicating the number of delegates you would like to register.

Day-Long Courses
Day-long courses are being offered on the 17th. The additional fee includes tuition, materials and lunch: 100 € for a one-day course and 175€ for a two-day course. Additional information on Day-Long Course can be found here.

Field Visits
Field Visits are being organized by a number of leading microfinance institutions around the world and we encourage you to take advantage of the very limited number of spaces available to visit one of these institutions. Please note that you are responsible for making arrangements directly with the institution you would like to visit including covering all additional costs. Make a Donation
Registration fees for this conference are among the lowest in the field. If you would like to make an additional contribution to support this and future Summits, please indicate the amount when registering and it will be added to your total.

Bus Transportation: Madrid – Valladolid – Madrid

Bus transportation will be provided for delegates at no additional cost, from the Barajas Airport in Madrid to Valladolid during the afternoon and evening of November 12th and all day and evening of November 13th.

In addition, transportation will be available from Valladolid to Barajas Airport in Madrid – again at no additional cost – on the evening of November 17th, all day and evening of the 18th, and the morning of the 19th.

Please indicate your interest in utilizing this service in your online registration form. The Summit registrar will be in touch with you closer to the Summit with additional details and schedule of bus transit.


Delegate Prerequisites

The 2011 Global Microcredit Summit is open to anyone interested in the field of microfinance: practitioners, government officials, and representatives from NGOs, corporations, foundations, and every other sector of society supporting microfinance.

Delegate Requirements

Delegates Must
1. Join the appropriate Council (Click Here and select the appropriate council from the list)
2. Submit a 2011 Action Plan (Click Here,and select the appropriate action plan from the list)

Delegates must either represent an institution that has joined the appropriate Microcredit Summit Campaign Council and submitted a 2011 Institutional Action Plan (IAP) OR join the Microcredit Summit Council of Individual Supporters and have submitted a 2011 Council of Individual Supporters Action Plan.

If you are unsure if your institution has submitted a 2011 IAP, please check with your institution. If you are still unsure, please inquire by emailing info@microcreditsummit.org.

Please download your Action Plan in Microsoft Word format. You may then complete it and return it by email to info@microcreditsummit.org or you may print and fax it to the Microcredit Summit Secretariat at +1.202.637.3566.

If you have any questions, please contact the secretariat at info@microcreditsummit.org. Action Plans may be submitted at any time prior to the conference in order to gain delegate status.

Submission of Registration Form and Fees:

Each delegate to the 2011 Global Microcredit Summit is responsible for his or her own transportation costs to and from the Madrid airport (and to and from Valladolid if you arrive or depart outside of the dates mentioned above), housing accommodations, incidentals, meals that are not included in the program and registration fees. Site visits and day-long courses are also available at an additional cost.

 

The working language of the meeting will be English with simultaneous interpretation of all plenary sessions and selected workshop sessions in Spanish and French.

If no IAP is submitted, attendees may participate at the conference as an “observer” rather than as a “delegate” and will be able to attend all Summit sessions.
